We are seeking a FT Receptionist, responsible for providing hospital telecommunication services through the use of telephones, pagers, the paging system, radio, or computer to connect communication between visitors, callers, staff, patients, and patients' families.
May maintain records related to telecommunications (e.
g.
, long distance phone calls, on-call employees, pages).
Integrates the hospital's mission and Guiding Principles into daily practice.
Job Duties 1.
Answers and transfers incoming calls.
Greets visitors and maintains visitor log.
2.
Pages staff as required.
3.
Relays messages and information to requested party(ies).
4.
Communicates with appropriate staff during emergency situations and drills.
5.
Complies with emergency procedures such as code blue, fire and external disaster, etc.
6.
Provides customer service to hospital staff and visitors.
7.
Provide backup as an Admissions Representative.
Conduct admissions of patients, including required paperwork.
Generate inpatient census report.
Complete data entry pertaining to charge and adjustment entries.
8.
Performs other duties as assigned to support overall effectiveness of the department.
