Grocery Manager
Overview:
To supervise and ensure that Floco Foods customer service, merchandising programs, and departmental operation is maintained in the grocery department
Responsibilities:
1Ensure customers receive polite, friendly service from the grocery department staff2Achieve budgeted sales, wage percent, and profits for the grocery department3Maintain desired level of inventory and supplies to maximize sales and minimize excessive inventory4Operate the department according to merchandising and operational guidelines and programs5Ensure the quality of product for sale meets Floco Foods standards6Maintain sanitation and safety throughout the department including the backroom according to Floco Foods standards7Provide guidance, orientation, training and feedback to ensure grocery department employees achieve satisfactory performance standards8Perform product stocking and customer service as necessary to achieve standards9Maintain departments staffing and scheduling standards10Control grocery shrink through proper implementation of the stock loss program11Ensure proper pricing and item scanning through price audits and proper scanning procedures12Ensure backroom is properly maintained13Ensure advertised items are available, signed and are scanning correctly14Help prepare grocery department for grocery inventory15Works with Store Manager and Receiver to maintain product level and conditions associated with vendor product16Perform all other duties as assigned by management
Qualifications:
1Friendly, outgoing personality2Ability to work well with others3Ability to lift 40 lbsconsistently and 60 lbsoccasionally4Ability to read and understand information and direction51-3 years of supermarket knowledge6Ability to supervise people including training and development7Demonstrated ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job8Effective communication, customer service and selling skills9Ability to bend, kneel, stand, push/pull stock carts and operate pallet jack for extended periods of time.
